237. Rachel Thomas-Medwid “The Squirrels in the Attic”

Rachel Thomas-Medwid hops onto Zoom for her interview

Rachel Thomas-Medwid is a filmmaker who simply does not stop creating.  I first met her at Sherman Oaks Film Festival 2018 where she won Best Screenplay (Unproduced) for “The Lost Opera.”  Then she took the leap and returned with “The Squirrels in the Attic” at Film Invasion Los Angeles 2020, which took home the Audience Award for Short Film.  One year later she was back at Film Invasion Los Angeles 2021 with “In The Company of Crows,” again taking home an award! The less happy side of this tale is that the 2020 and 2021 festivals were virtual, so I have yet to see Rachel’s work on the big screen, but that day will come!

I’m super proud to add that “The Squirrels in the Attic” will join season 5 of the Discover Indie Film TV series, likely coming this March.  If you want to watch other superb indie shorts just go to the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video.
