Ryan Beene brought his short film “Those People” to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival in 2021 and took home a Programmers Prize award.  Thanks to Covid, that screening was also the theatrical premiere of “Those People.”  I was delighted to hear that Ryan was wrapping u his festival run and was happy for his film to join season 5 of the Discover Indie Film TV series.  Season 5 should be released this March, but if you want to watch other superb indie shorts just go to the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video!

Ryan is an intelligent, thoughtful and unabashedly real storyteller.  In this interview I got to see how he made key decisions so that all these qualities ended up in “Those People.”  Enjoy the interview!
