Welcome back to our Discover Indie Film community. I’m very excited to share this interview with Gerrit Van Woudenberg!
Gerrit brought his feature film Quantum Suicide to Film Invasion Los Angeles in 2024 and took home two Grand Jury Awards;
Best Feature Film – SciFi and Best Production Design – Feature Film.
I rarely mention awards from other festivals, but Quantum Suicide also won Best Science Fiction Feature at the Philip K Dick Film Festival and that’s too cool to not mention.
Made in the excellent tradition of SciFI Indies such as Pi and Primer, I can honestly say that in many ways Gerrit exceeded the standard set by those amazing SciFi pioneers. How? Well, you just have to watch the film and you can because it gets released the day after this podcast!
