Happy Thursday, Cinema Peeps! I’m thrilled that today you’ll be learning about filmmaker Nick Roth.
Nick wrote and co-directed the feature comedy Hanky Panky, which happened to take home the Grand Jury Awards for Best Feature Film – Comedy and Best Cast Performance – Feature Film at Film Invasion Los Angeles in 2024.
When I first saw Hanky Panky, I had one thought. “The people who made this film are the BEST PEOPLE.” This ensemble comedy sincerely takes me back to the glory days of Monty Python and Kids In The Hall movies,
where a group of smart, funny people do their best to create something that nobody has seen before. Therefore you should accept the challenge to go to your favorite place to buy/rent films and watch Hanky Panky.
Nick is of the opinion that the film is perfectly fine, maybe even better, on the AVOD platforms that throw ads into the film at random moments. Personally, I think you should rent it on an ad free platform.
