I met filmmaking team Preston Peterson & Jason Boesch when their film West Virginia Stories won a Grand Jury Prize at Film Invasion L.A. in 2016. Along with the other feature films that have been included in the Discover Film podcast, West Virginia Stories is a movie that I consider much better than what is playing at the local multiplex.
I was chatting with a festival board member about films, and West Virginia Stories came up. I wanted to know if it had gotten distribution yet, and it turns out that at this very moment it is being shopped at AFM. I figured this was as good a time as any to talk with Preston & Jason.
It’s my hope that West Virginia Stories will be released soon. Until then, you can enjoy its trailer.
