Alana is a one-person movie studio!  Acting, writing, directing and producing multiple projects simultaneously!  She is the living example of what a talented, driven person can accomplish when they take themselves and their work seriously.  This podcast interview allows us a glimpse of Alana’s journey from Australia to Los Angeles and how she ended up making amazingly wonderful films today.

Cory Aycock visits DIF HQ for his podcast interview

Cory Aycock brought his film “Lydia of the Desert” to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival 2020 and, in all honesty, I can tell you that when I first watched this film as a member of the festival’s selection jury I was already hoping to see it become a part of the Discover Indie Film TV Series.  This personal, passionate work of utter restraint struck me as a wonderful example of auteur cinema.  I’m delighted to say that it happened!  You can watch “Lydia of the Desert” in the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video right now — just go to Season 4 Episode 6 to check it out.

Rosalie Alspach was an official selection at Film Invasion Los Angeles in 2020 with her film “The Hostess.” And I’m proud to say that “The Hostess” is in Season 4, Episode 6 of the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video.

“The Hostess” is such a well written, well directed and well acted film that it made me eager to see what films inspired this talented young filmmaker.
