387. Klaus Hoch “Emergence”

Klaus Hoch brought the piece “Emergence” to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival in November 2019 and took home the Grand Jury Prize for Best Music Video.  I intentionally  first minute of this podcast, “Emergence” is an art film, a performance piece, a dance film, and a music video all at once.  Guess what?  You can watch “Emergence” right now on the streaming service TVHi and it will be coming soon as part of Season 8 of the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video.

Klaus is a terrific guy and I now you’ll enjoy this interview.  In fact, he and I are neighbors and didn’t know it!  Although there is an asterisk to that.  We live very near each other as the crow flies, but a Los Angeles freeway lays between our homes which means if I tried to visit him on foot it would take close to an hour.  Such is modern, urban living.

386. 4Qs with Matthew Domenico

What are the 4Qs?  (1) Three favorite films. (2) An underrated film. (3) An overrated film. (4) A lesser-known film people should seek out.

Matthew Domenico’s pilot script “Nutt To Butt” was an official selection at Film Invasion Los Angeles in June 2022 and his feature screenplay “Contact 360” at the Sherman Oaks Film Festival in November 2022!  But there’s more.  Matthew shared his short film “If I Were To Speak Of War” with me and I immediately replied, “This is a wonderful film.  Can we add it to the Discover Indie Film TV series?”  He said yes and it will be coming soon as part of Season 8 of the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video.

Matthew hopped onto Zoom for a DIF interview and of course I had him do a 4Qs episode!
