Filmmaker Joey 西侧龙 brought his music video “A Beautiful Escape” to the 2023 edition of Film Invasion Los Angeles. The audiences and juries loved it and Joey received two awards for his efforts.  As an American living in China, Joey had to hop onto Zoom to talk with me, but for his festival Q&A and his podcast interview.  And you know for sure that I was going to have him answer the 4Qs above immediately following his interview.  Enjoy!

Joey 西侧龙 created the music video “A Beautiful Escape” and at the 2023 edition of Film Invasion Los Angeles received two awards; Outstanding Music Video and Outstanding Performance – Music Video for his lead performer Hayley Wen.  An American living in China, Joey brought an incredibly unique and interesting perspective to this podcast.  I found this to be one of the most fascinating interviews so far!  And, yes, I did a map search while were talking and realized that the person whose face on Zoom looked nearby was actually sitting near the North Korean border.
