{"id":517,"date":"2018-03-07T18:22:31","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T18:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jeffhoward.me\/?p=517"},"modified":"2018-03-07T18:22:31","modified_gmt":"2018-03-07T18:22:31","slug":"episode-46-the-oscars-results-podcast-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jeffhoward.me\/?p=517","title":{"rendered":"Episode 46: The Oscars Results Podcast Party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-398 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/discoverindiefilm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/FullSizeRender-33-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>We all made a bunch of predictions in <a href=\"https:\/\/discoverindiefilm.com\/2018\/03\/01\/episode-45-the-oscars-prediction-podcast\/\">The Oscars Prediction Podcast<\/a>, so of course we had to meet again to discuss the Oscars results.\u00a0 Three filmmakers who weren&#8217;t able to make it to the Prediction Podcast were available for the Results Party&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In fact, ELEVEN filmmakers took part in the Discover Film Oscars Pool.\u00a0 Some have already done a podcast interview, and some are on my to-do list.\u00a0 In alphabetical order they were: Alex Merkin, (Episode 41), Ashley Campbell (Episode 5),\u00a0Caroline O&#8217;Brien (Episode 28),\u00a0Doug Mueller (Episode 34),\u00a0James Medeiros (Episode 28), Jeff Howard (me), Jeremy Foley (upcoming), Joe Petricca (upcoming),\u00a0 Luis Servera (upcoming), Lu\u00edsa\u00a0Novo (upcoming), Preston Peterson (Episode 22.)<\/p>\n<p>And the winner was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>At first I asked everyone to just make their picks for the top 4 categories; Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor.\u00a0 And the winers is&#8230;\u00a0<strong>Ashley Campbell<\/strong>!\u00a0 Out of 11 people, she was the only perfect 4 out of 4.<\/p>\n<p>But people also submitted their picks for all 24 categories, and the winner of that race was<strong> Luis Servera<\/strong> with an impressive 14 out of 24!\u00a0 (And he left three blank.)<\/p>\n<p>After the Oscars, winner Ashley Campbell received her prize of choosing\u00a0<em>when<\/em> we would record this podcast, and amazingly five other people were able to attend.\u00a0Alex Merkin, Caroline O&#8217;Brien,\u00a0James Medeiros, Preston Peterson, and Jason Boesch.\u00a0 Add me to the mix and that&#8217;s\u00a0<em>seven people talking at the same time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comments are blocked on this website.
