Rosalie Alspach was an official selection at Film Invasion Los Angeles in 2020 with her film “The Hostess.” And I’m proud to say that “The Hostess” is in Season 4, Episode 6 of the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video.

“The Hostess” is such a well written, well directed and well acted film that it made me eager to see what films inspired this talented young filmmaker.

Rosalie Alspach’s short film “The Hostess” rocked Film Invasion Los Angeles in 2020 and I was delighted when she gave a thumbs up for this film to join Season 4 of the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video.  Catch it in Episode 6!

“The Hostess” is everything you look for in a short film.  Well written, well directed, well acted and it inspires lengthy discussions!  In fact it pains me to this day that Covid-19 trapped FILA-2020 online, preventing an open discussion of the film between filmmaker and audience.  But Rosalie’s day will come.  In the meantime, enjoy this podcast interview with an up-and-coming filmmaking talent!

Filmmaker Pedro Patricio brought his film “Tirachinas” to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival in 2017 and returned with his remarkable follow-up film “Kids Don’t Die” to Film Invasion Los Angeles in 2020.  One of the best films in the festival, “Kids Don’t Die” pulled in the award for Outstanding Short Film – Sci Fi.
